What is it exactly, stand as far away from your man, let him set his feet, then run out to him after he releases the ball?
Lovett was dreadful, freelancing instead of staying with his man. Yakwe, while an excellent shotblocker(who never tries to keep the ball in play), is not a good straight up one on one defender. It seems players are always looking to help elsewhere, stay on your man!!! How about some ZONE ZONE ZONE. Kinda gave the coaching staff a pass last year, but this inability to change on the fly is mind boggling, if something isn't working, change it!!

Looked to be part of the game-plan. Ponds was doing the same thing when guarding mich st pgs. With that said, Lovett hasnt been great on defense and I think he's capable of being really good there,
