Rather than visiting Rutgers this weekend, 2013 New York natives Jason Boswell & Dayshon Smith will attend St. John's Midnight Madness.

Watch for the Billy Singleton connection with Gauchos to result in dividends to SJU. Not to mention Moe who knows these kids forever.

Here is the basics.

"St. John's is a big time school and I think it's going to have a good Midnight Madness," explained Smith. "That's my opinion and that's why I'm headed up there."

Even though St. Johns hasn't recruited him yet, the guard is still very interested in the Queens-based school.

"I'm sort of familiar with the staff there and I hope I get to talk to them again [Tony Chiles, Steve Lavin] because it's been a while."

Smith is also interested in what kind of player the staff is looking for.

"I would ask them what kind of characteristics are they looking for in a guard, on and off the court," explained Smith.

Great to see kids wanting to be recruited by SJU, has rarely happened over the last few seasons.
