The defamation charge against Boeheim is based on him referring to the complainants as "opportunistic liars" and thereby discouraging others from coming forth with their charges against Fine.
It may very well be dismissed later this month but if not promises to bring even more adverse publicity to Boeheim and Syracuse .
Just ordered my tickets to the USC-Syracuse game in September and expect to see a different look on the faces of the Cuse supporters when they leave MetLife Stadium than when they leave the Garden.

This is one program that should be penalized even more than UCONN. I mean here you have Mr Fine and then of course Mrs Fine and none of the allegations are very "fine". And then you have claims of drug test failures for some 5 years that the head coach claims he never knew of. To me it means he told someone not to tell him. I cant believe he didnt know anything after five years. I hope they get penalized just in time for their greedy move into the ACC.

Yada Yada there are two others who came too late and who the prosecutor cannot use presumably because of some statute of limitations. 90% of the media must come from Syracuse University and I dont think they are inclined to crucify their school or to do any real investigative reporting. It is called coverup

What is he proven right about?? This guy came out and accused fine AFTER Boeheim already made his comments about the initial accusers... I guess just cuz some chomo made up something about fine and finally admitted to it cuz he is going to prison makes the other two liars as well?? Ok Bobby Knobby

(a) Lang denied anything happened with Bernie Fine, despite Davis naming him as a fellow victim, UNTIL the PSU story broke. Is he lying now, or when he disavowed his step-brother's story all those years?
(b) Davis was schuppting Laurie Fine and wanted to "corroborate" his claims that he was abused. So why doesn't he ever directly ask that question on that audiotape? Despite "the good parts" being featured in the media, not once does he ask Laurie Fine to confirm that he was abused as a child, and not once does she make that claim herself. It was so vague a "corraborating tape", that both ESPN & the P-S newspaper didn't run w/ it. So, why didn't he ask her that one question?
(c) Mark Schwartz of ESPN put Davis in contact with Tomaselli to discuss the accusations...BEFORE Tomaselli went to the cops. Now, Tomaselli is saying he was coached by Davis to lie & he made it all up.
(4) The 2 brothers & Gloria Allred are not suing Bernie Fine their alleged abuser, they're suing Jim Boeheim for calling them "liars who are out for money because of the PSU situation". JB may have been right all along.
(5) Tomaselli says he never met Bernie Fine, yet after talking to Davis, who was introduced to him by ESPN, he was able to give enough detail of Bernie Fine's house that the Feds issued a search warrant.
Sooooo, $64,000 question...where did he get those details & how could it have been anyone BUT Davis.

Every day Sandusky's victims are coming outta the woodwork and Fine is acused by 4 grown men; 2 who have recanted, one who changed his story & is a relative, and one being accused of coaching another "victim" to lie?
Bernie Fine was likely a gay man who was outed by ESPN & the media, because NBC scooped the WWL on Penn State. They ran with the story after the stepbrother and this guy Tomaselli, an obviously disturbed Kansas Jayhawk fan, came forward because of a grudge against Syracuse basketball & the '03 NC.
