1 Ponds announces he will return
2 Administration hires what appears to be a bright energetic AD
3 SJU has no involvement with sneaker scandal
4 Figueroa appears to be better than advertised
5 Heron secures eligibility
And with all this Redmen.com has been so negative all summer. If we miss out on a recruit next week or if we don't have next year's big signed by the end of the month let's all enjoy this year.

Agree there were more positives than negatives this offseason. The Rice situation still irks me, and still uneasy about where we stand with '19 recruits. But this upcoming season looks very promising and hopefully the new AD will make a huge impact.

Agree on all except I think some try to temper figgy expectations because of step up. But he was a 4 star high recruit and followed up with great juco numbers. Once we got him my outlook for this season got rosier. This was such a great pick up. just like signing a high level high school recruit who wouldn't stay all 4 years anyway

I think our new AD could prove to be the best and brightest - or one of the best - things to happen to our program since The Big Indian roamed our sidelines and that lefty All American boy from Brooklyn was throwing jump shots from all ranges!
Let’s go Storm.
Good times are ahead and, of course, at hand.
2018-19 Wow!

Of course, last night can not be considered definitive WRT anything (two years ago, I thought the German kid impressed the most in both the Tip-Off and the exhibition game, and we know how that turned out). However, watching on Facebook, Figueroa made Lavin's players look slow and unathletic. That is not an easy accomplishment.

As someone who all of you think is an ultra negative nellie, I agree. I'm excited to roll 'em out, get it on and let next season take care of itself in the spring. Let's hope they coach 'em up and have a great season.
