Please take a moment to read the linked article entitled "Crimes and Misdemeanors: A Complete Guide to the Syracuse University Basketball Program Under Jim Boeheim" which details the criminal charges that have been brought against "student athletes" that play basketball at Mr. Emmert's alma mater Syracuse University.

Duke, Wake Forest and the other schools in the ACC should be proud of the culture which the University of Syracuse will bring to their conference.

In the body of this article reference is made to a Michael Lloyd and that in 1995 he was found to be ineligble. It also stated that he had been a starter in 1994. The reason stated was regularities in his orginal admission. Did they have to forfeit any wins for utilizing him in 1994?

Otis - I recall Derrick Coleman getting into an accident on campus driving and owning/leaisng a very expensive vehicle of unknown origin. Though not a crime certainly pushing the NCAA limits. Kind of a Jarvis get anyone who can play thing and forget the background.

And those are the incidents that didn't get swept under the rug.

We seem to be the lightning rod in the last two seasons. First melo and now southerland regain their eligibility just in time to face us and both have impactfull games. Not that we would have won last year, but maybe we had a shot yesterday if southerland doesn't go nuts in the second half stemming our comeback.

Kirklady's case was thrown out after almost a year as it came out that he had been set-up or trapped with the Judge admonishing everybody, (false accuser, police, prosecution) on the damage this had done.

He would up at WVU but was seriously injured in a car accident with another New Yorker, Larry Pollard. Pollard was able to play again but I don't believe Kirklady ever did. Pollard in now a H.S. coach in Brooklyn.

This is different than the Payton and Hawkins (from Lakeview, LI) case where their accuser, who was a Villanova Cheerleader, dropped the charges as the story says stating "I just want to go on with my life".

I knew some of their players had some legal issues, just had no idea it was that many , and a few with muliple run-ins.
