Creighton Game

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to buy 5 tickets together in the arena level at a great price.  I thought that this key game would be sold out but there are many tickets available.  Is there a section where a group of redmen.com posters usually sit?
Hope this game gets sold out because all those comments about a bigger arena on campus are futile if we can't get 5,000 fans for a Big East game.

This is my first game at CA since the pandemic.
What are the admission requirements?  Vax card and mask?
Do you have to wear a mask inside the arena?

You will pass through a white tent outside the arena where they will check proof of vaccination.  You can show the actual CDC card or a picture of the card.  You can also show electronic proof if you have the Docket App.  It's a very quick, non-investigatory check.

They do have announcements asking fans to wear a mask unless you are in the process of eating.  However, I would say less than 50% of fans are masked.  Hope that is helpful.

Hope there’s close to a full Carnesecca.    A give away. And they’ve been playing very well the last couple of game

also there was a decent crowd for the 5pm game last Friday

Just got back from a very exciting college basketball game.
The arena was packed and so loud that I had to turn my hearing aids off!
Had the pleasure to meet Mike Cragg and the great coach Jack Kaiser at the end of the game. God bless coach Kaiser and he seems to have great stamina and takes these losses with grace.
Felt bad for Mrs. Anderson who was very vocal at the game. The end of the game was a huge let down when Wusu threw the ball away.  We were all stunned by the lack of court awareness by him and our disorganization.
There were three time outs in the final minute and our St. John's players did not execute one cogent offensive play.  The players let their coach down and the fans standing on their feet in the final minute.
The fans in my section 10 were all talking about how bad Wheeler and Champagnie played and how their shooting was so off from the previous game. Champagnie in particular didn't look to call for the ball and was totally outclassed by Hawkins who scored 25 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
How bad was the shooting of Champagnie and Wheeler?  Omar Stanley scored more points than both combined!
I wish I had recorded the game to watch the closing seconds. It was a nightmare.
My nephew who attended said he spotted some redmen.com members. He pointed out Mike Maher above us in section 10 on the top level.  The guy he pointed out wore a black mask throughout the game. Mike, was that you?
My final thoughts are how disappointed I was for all the St. John's students who were vocal throughout the game. They did their part but unfortunately a few of our players were just outclassed by their Creighton counterparts.  Prayers for the Creighton kid who seemed to have broken his wrist at the end of the game.

People on the main forum blaming coach Anderson are wrong.  Our two starting forwards with NBA aspirations shot a horrendous 15% combined. Two unforced turnovers at the end sealed our fate.  The players needed to execute and they did not.
Blame the coach all you want but our star players underperformed. Period!

Coach Anderson has had Wusu inbound the ball numerous times with similar results.  Anderson and Wusu don’t seem to be learning from these failures.  Time to use someone else to inbound.

I completely agree and there was a collective gasp in my section when was given the ball and seconds later he throws the ball into the second row.
But that was the very last play of the game.  For 8 minutes prior to that play we watched Champagnie fail to get free or to position himself for a shot.  More disturbing was his ineffective play within the arc where he missed short shots. One thing is clear and that is he is the star player who doesn’t like the ball in his hands. Wheeler just had a terrible offensive game but Champagnie was horrible offensively. He has had so many Jekyll and Hyde performances that we never know what we are going to get from him.
Yes, Anderson's substitutions are puzzeling at times but to think in hindsight that two seldom used subs could have been the difference makers is absurd.
The loss is on the starters who were in the game in the final minutes.
BTW, what was the reason given for the Soriano absence,

Hopefully we will have Soriano game ready for Sunday.
I still think we can do damage in the Big East tournament.
Hopefully we can make the NIT and extend the season.
It all depends on what player confidence levels are by the end of the season.
