Congrats

calipari plays by the rules...and does it better.

bring in top five players...show them they will be heavy duty lottery picks...then roll out the basketballs.

our one and done players are lucky to be taken in the first round.

I am waiting for this Final Four appearance to be vacated, just like the other two Final Four appearances by Calipari.

That's the first thing I thought of. First, he'll go to the NBA, and then a few years later, this championship will be vacated.

Yes, he "plays by the rules." See "UMASS" and "Memphis."

Kentucky was the best team in the country.  But to root for them, is an entirely different story. It is a smarmy program, led by a coach who always gets out just in time.

It will be interesting to see if Calipari takes an NBA job now that he has his college championship. Meanwhile Kentucky may end up like UMASS and Memphis.

I would be shocked if the NCAA vacated a championship. Vacating a Final 4 is one thing, but vacating a championship is on a totally different level.

Rupp Arena.... You can't spell "corrupt" without r-u-p.

:19 AM ET 04.03 | "Worldwide Wes" is bound to get people talking. He sat behind the Kentucky bench on Monday night during the NCAA Championship basketball game and I'm thinking William "Worldwide Wes" Wesley should have just dropped the charade and slid in beside coach John Calipari. The Wildcats beat Kansas 67-59. Anyone following major college basketball knows that talent rules. And anyone following the line of talent, first to Memphis, and now to Kentucky, knows that Calipari and Wesley are college basketball's sweetest couple. ... Damon Stoudamire told me one summer a few years ago: "Wes is running the NBA." After Monday's championship game, I think William Sidney Wesley is now running all of basketball.

Isn't it pretty much the same thing? If the NCAA vacates a team's appearance in the Final Four, doesn't that mean the team's games in the Final Four, including a championship, are all vacated? Really don't know; just asking.

Looking at Calipari's interview after winning the championship, his demeanor was one of not  jubilation, but of a coach who almost down played the achievement. His body language might have indicated that this is all bogus, and that it was achieved in all the wrong ways. Does anyone feel the same way????

By what you said, would infer Calipari has a conscience. And he has none. He just had a big sign of relief after last night. He finally won his title (that the NCAA's can vacate along with his Final Four's).

I don't doubt World Wide Wes's power. But for the Oregonian to ignore Nike in any story having to do with power over sports, is homerism at its worst. All they had to do was take a look at the swanky digs at the University of Nike (Oregon).
