I just wanted to say he's done a great Job as our Law school dean. Just wanted to let our alumni know that we entered the prestigious NY Law Journal "Go to Law school" list. This is is a list of the top 50 law schools in the country that sends its graduates to prestigious Big Law firms. This is our first entry, and we enter at number 37.

Kudos to Michael.

OK, I found the site, and it appears that the NY Law Journal has only announced numbers 21 through 50. Schools 1 through 20 will be announced in coming days.

One word.
Nice!

I think that's because my sister stopped practicing. She was bringing down the average.

All Law Schools need to stop admitting so many students, there is oversaturation especially schools in the middle and low end.

That being said, it is nice to see St. John's moving up the list again into its rightful spot in NYC below only Columbia, NYU, Fordham, Cordozo. Ahead of Villanova and Brooklyn Law School, even sweeter. In the 50's, 60's and 70's St. John's was very close to Fordham, and only otherwise behind Columbia and NYU. Its bar passage rate was the best in the country and city.

Back in even earlier days, when Columbia and even unbelievably NYU had quotas on the number of Jewish students they admitted St. John's was the go-to Law School for high credentialed working class NYC aspiring lawyers of all different backgrounds.

Dean Simmons is a Holy Cross man as was his dad Andrew Simmons. Good background, serves us well.

He should have been named President of the University. He wanted it too. Quite a shame he wasn't to be honest.

I agree 100 percent with you. If Bobby doesn't turn around the ship in two years he needs to go. Law school , Pharmacy school continues to Trend upwards but the rest of the school ( I will wait for the business dean to make moves) is not on the same level.
