Jakarr got jobbed and he should be upset...He's in the argument for 2nd team over Edwin or Batts but he should definitely be on the honorable mention over Wragge

You may be right. But here is what Sampson can do to prove them wrong. Come out and dominate the BE Tourney. Own everything from the top of the key and in towards the basket. Do not float. Make that area your stomping ground and take home an all tournament team selection.

Exactly & make your free throws. (Did hit a few clutch ones down stretch Sat.)

Jakarr was in a tremendous funk until the first Seton Hall game, where all of a sudden, he put back a missed shot with a thunderous dunk and then began nailing 15 foot shots. It was as if a switch was flipped. I think he's one of the best forwards in the league, and in conference play he deserved to make second team. He's definitely first team talent IMO, but the challenge for him next season is to play a full season like an NBA pick

It still baffles me that Wragge is getting credit and awards for ONE great game.

He has scored in double digits in 6 of the 18 big east games he played.

Jakarr scored in double digits in 14 of the 18 big east games played.

What a joke.

Very good points.

I agree Sampson should receive some recognition, i.e 2nd team but, not at the exclusion of Batts or Edwin..Both had solid seasons and deserve the status.

Hopefully Jakarr could care less about a personal honor and focuses on the things that help the team win the BET. Never believed in the idea that someone can get true motivation from this kind of thing

I think JaKarr playing better in the 2nd half has a lot to do with Rysheed's emergence. JaKarr hasn't shown a ton of ability to create his own shot or play one on one, but when given the ball in the right position, he's been extremely effective.

If you accept that, and I do, then how would you react to those who said Harrison's bad shooting was due to him not being given the ball in places where he could be more effective, or those who say he is the only option to score?

I believe Jordan's presence has helped Harrison as well, but do wish he had another consistent scorer to complement him. With Sampson, being interior player with mid range game, I always felt he would benefit on pick and roll & flashes to foul line area having a PG with sense to know that. RJ seems to. I believe Harrison is just one of those streaky guys who sometimes goes cold, forces things a bit, but can score in bunches. Not perfect, but on this offensively challenged team I am happy to have him.

Because the only set play we run with consistency and effectiveness is a clearout, pro-style pick and roll in which Jakarr pops from 15 after receiving a decent pass.

DLo on the other hand has to create his own shot time and again.

I agree 100% with your response. Thanks!
