Combined points per game

Since the minute distribution thread was so much fun and I am really bored, what is the combined points per game for Ponds, Simon and Heron? Assuming they stay healthy, eligible and space alien abduction free.
I am going with 50. And I think team averages 79 or 80
Ponds 21
Heron 16
Simon 13

I think the 20 ish and 15 ish are perfect for ponds and heron, I don’t think Simon will be our 3rd leading scorer. My bet is Clark is 3rd at about 12 a game. Simon, lj, Dixon combined for about 30.

Aren't these nice "problems" to have; who will score and how much; and who will play considerable minutes off the bench. That we have options unlike any time before in the CK reign.
Good times ahead and at hand.

I think he will be left alone on perimeter and he showed that even though the shot is ugly, he will take and make wide open threes. Plus he can create his own shot plus with all the attention being paid to Ponds/Heron I think he gets a couple put baskets baskets a game. I think 11-13 ppg range.

Clark on the other hand is not a very good rebounder and will spend a lot of time fighting bigger guys on the boards. He is probably our best outside shooter though and I see him getting around 10ppg.

Wildcard for me is Figueroa. Having not seem him play I can't properly evaluate his contribution. Same with Dixon though his contribution this year will have a lower ceiling just based off of his size and who he will be playing behind.

Tentatively I have 60 points combined for Ponds, Heron, Simon & Clark.
I figure Figueroa, Dixon and Keita combine for around 20 more.
I reserve the right to change this once I get a better feel for Fig.

Only if Mullin hires Paul Westhead to be his assistant coach

Silly exercise, but I will play:

Ponds: 19
Heron: 15
Clark: 8
Simon: 8
Figgy: 8
Dixon 6
Keita: 8
Trimble 3
Williams: 3
Roberts: 1
Earlington: 1

Team average 80 (pretty potent)

I love doing this stuff. Got me through a lot of classes.

Ponds 20 (31 min)
Heron 15 (30 min)
Clark 12 (27 min)
Simon 9 (30 min)
Fig 9 (24 min)
Dixon 8 (20 min)
Keita 6 (20 min)
B.Trim 4 (10 min)
Roberts 2 (7 min)

I agree with everything you said and could see Simon getting 13+ a game if he took it upon himself to do so. I just don’t think he’s that inclined to score. With better options around him I think he will have a field day finding fuys. Clark on the other hand is a scorer. That’s what he does best and that’s what he’ll try to do. He averaged 15 points per over our last ten games. LJ and Dixon seem to be scorers first as well but like you said time will tell with those 2.

Splitting hairs or 2 points or so.
The problem with Clark is I see him playing the 5 a lot. He is going to get in foul trouble and will lose some of his time to Keita. I don't see Mullin playing Keita and Clark together a lot even if they both start.
Just my opinion.

I agree always fun for whole family.
Ponds 20.4 ppg 4.5 asst 5 rebounds
Heron 16.3 ppg 6 rebounds 3.5 assists
Simon 12.7 ppg 7 rebs 5 assists
Clark 10.5 ppg 5.2 rebounds
Keita 4.5 ppg 4.9 rebounds
*Figueroa 7.5 ppg 3 rebounds-Again I reserve the right to adjust this
Dixon 7.0 ppg 2 assists
*Trimble 2.5 ppg-will be primary 8th man but not every game

These numbers I think are low for Dixon if he gets any amount of time. The kid had 10 20+ point games and was in double figures 26 times at Quinnipiac and averaged 18.1 in conference play. He set a bunch of freshman records. I know it’s not the Big East but the basket and court are the same size. This kid is going to decompress Ponds and Heron a ton and is a real scorer. People also keep mentioning his size, but he’s 6’2, not 5’8”... he’s pretty average as far as combo guards go.

It is not the same and if you had any doubts just think of Alpha Bangura.
His biggest issue though is who he plays the same position as. And with his size I don't see him playing a ton with Ponds. And as we all now agree Ponds should and will play 32-35 mins a night.

Not everybody is Bangura. Can’t just choose one example. FWIW, Bangura still playing pro ball overseas... I guess he just needed some time to get better?

I know it’s a different league but he kid scored almost 550 points as a freshman. I think he will spell both Ponds and Heron a lot and be our go-to third guard off the bench.

He will probably be one of our top two scorers the following year. Just think the glut at guard and his size will just temper his minutes/ production this year.

We also had Lamont Middleton, who was conference rookie of the year at Hartford, and had a number of 30 point games while he was there.

He transferred to us, and while his scoring numbers naturally went down, he was a very valuable two year guy for us. Another guy who did the dirty work inside, in the mold of Billy Singelton and Tyrone Grant (though I thought Middleton actually had more natural ability then either of those two).

I'm really excited about seeing our first game, even if it is only an exhibition. Realized I have only seen 4 of our likely 9 or 10 rotation players play other than watching bits of a couple of Auburn games last year when I had no reason to focus in on Mustapha's play. After watching that game, I'll take a shot at guessing pts. per game.
