College Admissions / Chris Russo / Very Funny

Getting started with college myself and that was hysterical.

We went through this process a while ago with our two daughters, and Russo makes some valid points; he also is insanely inept at expressing himself. Rollins College should ask for their degree back.

The best part of his rant was the whole thing about how happy the family was when she didn't get a regular envelope from Wake, but a big "vanilla" envelope which meant "good news". He repeated the vanilla reference a bunch of times. So funny.

Hey, Chris, back off of putting down Holy Cross, alright!

I re-listened to that. Cracked me up again.

Just got back from a 3 day road trip with daughter to visit 4 schools in midwest (Xavier, Dayton. Loyola, Depaul). Few weeks back we visited Villanova, St. Joe's and Providence and over the summer went to Fordham, Seton Hall and of course St. John's.

The admissions administrators scripts and student tour guide all sound similar, kids generally look the same and it's nearly impossible to see how rankings have meaning. Comparing a bigger school in a major metropolitan area, is way different than a medium school in suburban midwest with different academic focuses.

BTW - Xaviers on campus basketball arena was really sweet. They held open house in there. Those students bleed X.
