Coaches in Need of Big Seasons

The writer puts the fate of our season almost entirely on Jordan. Lavin isn't even mentioned.

I agree that Jordan has to step it up. But if Keith Thomas can't make the adjustment to Big East ball, we are toast.

I dont remember his decision making in that game being dreadful, think thats harsh. Took a couple rushed shots. ANd what game did he get suspended for just two hours before? I know it wasnt the opener. Poor article.
 
Wow, Sporting News has certainly lowered it's standards for journalism. Poorly written, ill-informed, and no mention of SL other than the title.
 
How does Oliver Purnell not make this list? Then again, maybe it's just assumed by many that barring a parting of the Red Sea type of season that he is gone after this year.

He was suspended in the preseason, right before the Monmouth game. He appears to have gotten he message.

DePaul shouldn't have been allowed into the Big East to begin with. In nine seasons with the league, they've only had one season over 500. They went 0-18 the year before Purnell was hired. Purnell isn't getting the job done, his predecessor didn't get the job done. They should be out of the league.

Someone has too finish last. Just like the world needs garbage collectors and sewers workers. No offense to anyone in those fields.
 
What kind of a crap journalist picks on a freshman's first league game to characterize him? Furthermore, as far as a suspension before the Monmouth game, without going into details, it could be for breaking a hard and fast team rule, like being late for a team bus, or cutting a class. It doesn't mean a freshman is a problem. Pure garbage.
