Coach Kaiser

Sorry to hear it any word on what is his ailment?Coach Kaiser is Definitely one of the best and has done a great deal for the school

From coach Blankmeyer today. Jack Kaiser no longer has a fever, still weak however. Was able to get around with a walker. Keep him in your prayers.

Coach Blankmeyer's update today: Physically he is getting better. Still very weak and beginning to eat. Please keep him in your prayers.

Latest update: Jack Kaiser came home yesterday and is resting comfortably. His wife says he also is eating better. Please keep him in your prayers.

The combined years served of Jack Kaiser and Looie Carnesseca at one school must rank near the top. God bless them both .

Today was Coach Kaiser's 89th birthday.

He is home, and from what I am told he has been recovering nicely (walking about and eating well).

He still has some issues with his eyesight but hopefully that will improve.

As we all agree, Coach Kaiser is class personified. A great, great, great man.

It's a privilege to know him.

Thinking about Jack Kaiser brought to mind the group in the Brooklyn building in the late forties and their contribution to NYC sports.

Think about it, where could you ever find two of the finest, professional gentlemen.

He was baseball coach when I was there and was responsible for building the winning image and record StJ retains and grows these days. As everyone stated, he is a class act, completely responsible with Gavitt for initiating the 25 year great run of the BE as well as for many great coaching hires from his huge circle of admirers. He's a giant we can't ignore in our thoughts and prayers.

While I was playing for Jack he was responsible for starting the Fall Baseball League. At the time our homefield was Alley Pond Park. Later on, good old Ebbets Field was home. Ever play before twenty people in a major league stadium?
