I have to admit that I as well was in tears reading this. I am 73 now and you tend to reflect on your life more often these days.
I was profoundly moved by this story and I also hope that when my time comes that I would have had a person or persons whose life I made a difference! Thank you for sharing this with us all!

Bob Walsh is an amazing guy. We're lucky to have him. Everyone should listen to his podcasts w Dave.

Coach Walsh spoke at the Michigan pre-game RW. Bright, articulate guy, a Regis grad. Not the type who usually ends up coaching, not surprised his dad was a high ranking executive. Good man. Lucky to have him , and just an indication of how selective Rick is in building a staff.

This piece hit me yesterday morning. I spoke to Bob last night about it...truly moving and a lesson that's so important for anyone to carry with them. Dignity and respect go a long way, and you never know what some small acts of kindness will do for another person.
This story and his re-counting it for Dave on the podcast was moving. Everyone should stop and reflect on this and the life lessons that go along with it. Thanks Dave and Coach Walsh.

I really wanted him to talk about it on the pod because it's bigger than basketball and it's such a good story - obviously the blog is more detailed but I hope everyone got a sense of it from the two minute retelling.
