Clear the Bench

I would have liked to see Lavin pull all 5 players off the Court and subbed-in 5 from the bench in yesterday's game. Sometimes a message gets across better without saying anything and just showing players their effort and execution are not cutting it by giving them some time to watch others play in their place.

What has happened to Christian Jones? How long has it been since he has played? From the beginning, he reminded me of Artest with his size(not his overall ability) and I thought he would be able to contribute on offense and on the glass.

As badly as the team played yesterday, in no way does yesterday compares with the wipeouts at the hands of Syracuse, or the Marquette BET destruction, etc. They were just flat all game, and flat out outplayed. The outcome was never in doubt, but I don''t think the lead was ever more than 25 or so, and we only lost by 16.

Not calling this anything but a crappy game, but it doesn't go down in the annals of ass kickings that I've seen over the past 35 years.

I think we outscored them in the 2nd halh.

That usually happens in blowouts because the winning teams just stops caring

The one thing I did notice those was our guys scrapping at the end. Loved Amir throwing a fastball off that players face at the end.

Certianly doesnt excuse all the other mediocrity but the kids didnt give up at the end but there certianly was a point in the 1st half I wanted an entire 5 man substitution

This is right up there with the Marquette game. IIRC, Marquette had an NBA player on their team- Jimmy Butler. They also played stifling defense that day.

GTown did not. And the final score here was deceiving. Take away garbage time and we probably lose by 25-30 points. Otto Porter will be a pro but he came in averaging 12 PPG.

Cmon, let's be fair - the Marquette game was a debacle. We went into that game with high hopes.

This was just a for s**t game, a forgettable, flat, poor performance where we were never in the game. Hell, Gtown fans didn't even cheer that much till the weak Hoya Saxon chant at the end. In some regards it reminded me of the Rutgers game in Norm's last season, where we didn't do a damned thing right all night. That game, like this, is largely forgettable.
