@WojYahooNBA: Sacramento owner Vivek Ranadive is very intrigued with coaching candidacy of Chris Mullin, league sources tell Yahoo. Mullin's a factor.

I have a question for the board; If theoretically st johns ever wanted Mullin to be their head coach, could sju make it happen?

Never know unless you take the chance. Every other coach didn't do Jack in the last 17-18yrs, so wtf not.
What if Mullin is that 1 in a hundred that can change everything at ST. John's, and coach here for 20-25 years.
I don't see anything wrong with giving him a shot.

Why would Chris Mullen ever want to coach? He was already an NBA player, GM and an NBA Hall of Famer. And he's said repeatedly that the only reason he came to St. John's was coach Carnesseca.
 
Dont understand why coming to SJU because of coach C is a problem. I would imagine many players went to a school because of a relationship with a coach. Mullin is much more involved and in touch with the program then Jax.

I don't know about that. I think Rob Werdann would be a solid choice as an assistant coach at the very least. :p
