Chaminade and St. John's Basketball

Love to see this. These days on Long Island it's LuHi and then everyone else is at best a very distant second, but Chaminade is generally in that second tier. When we do have D-1 players they are more often than not Patriot-level kids, but portal combat could one day see a Chaminade kid graduate a Bucknell or Colgate in three seasons and look to come home for a year of grad school.

There was a time when the NSCHAA was among the premier basketball conferences in the country. St. Agnes, St. Anthony's, St. Doms, Holy Trinity all had strong programs. And some HS AA's to boot.

Consolidation. Holy Family and St. Anthony's.Maria Regina and St. Agnes. Lacrosse. Prep schools focused on hoops. For St. Anthony's football took the lead.
