Thanks Paultzman, while the article is fairly long it is well worth the time investment. I am sure most people know ALS as Lou Gehrig's Disease. One of my favorite movies of all time was the Lou Gehrig Story starring Gary Cooper. A very sad ending for the Iron Horse. As I got older I learned a little more about this dreaded disease which any right minded individual would not wish on his worst enemy. Have been sending donations for research to fight this disease for years and was happy that The Bucket Challenge brought more attention to it as funding has been quite lacking. It has also recently come to light that head injuries like for example concussions could be one of the causes. Numerous athletes have gotten ALS and even though Lou Gehrig played baseball he did suffer concussions during his youth. As Lou Gehrig's case goes back over 75 years it would be great to find a cure or at least much better treatment for ALS. I would just like to take this opportunity to urge anyone so inclined to donate whatever they are comfortable with. Thank-you.
