I watched part of the Nebraska-Purdue game this afternoon
Former St John's commit Cam Mack had a double-double for the Huskers
He's got a little "hot dog" in him but he's clearly very talented
He would have been a very good PG for us
Hard to believe that this is the first double-double in Nebraska's history
Also believe that they have never been in the NCAA tournament

They’ve been to the tournament more than a half dozen times. Last time was 2014. They do have the dubious distinction of never having won an NCAA game. I find it hard to believe that this was the first double double in Nebraska history.
 
I don't think anyone questioned that he had talent. It just wasn't meant to be.

Nebraska would have been right up there with the sorriest basketball histories in all of D1 if that actually turned out to be the first double double at the school. I'm shocked Erik Piatkowski never lucked into one.

Are any of you guys on the nebraska twitter thing ? Someone told me Cam's mom was going at it with some fans there too

Nebraska football has not been the winner it once was since the school joined the Big 10 Conference having posted losing records 4 of the past 5 seasons.

and Scott Frost hasn't been the savior they thought he'd be off of what he was able to do at UCF.

He used his heart way more than his head in the decision to go back home. Recruiting would have been a lot easier for him at UF or FSU. The sun has set on Nebraska as a true national power.

It was probably easier at UCF as well.
 
Cam’s mom has been vocal in Twitter as she was on here. Stuff like not being happy about the staff, maybe he made a rushed choice, etc.

This is only his second year there. Hard to turn a FBS Power Five program around when you come into a situation where you inherit talent not good enough to win consistently and you have had only two recruiting cycles.

UCF might have been an easier sale than Nebraska, however, with them not being in a Power Five Conference, the players he recruited and won there with are probably not the same he is trying to get now.

I never felt that their switching conferences was to their benefit but they probably thought that they were leaving a sinking ship as it looked like Texas and Oklahoma were both leaving and Missouri did. Will Frost turn it around, we shall see.

What is his mother getting into it with the Nebraska fans over?

I’d take it slow before writing Frost off at Nebraska. I am not even remotely a Nebraska fan but two years in on an almost complete rebuild? Way to early.

As for Cam Mack, too bad for him. Do we have any idea that current staff was interested? We are better off with guys who want to be here and buy in to what the Coach wants. We shouldn’t worry about the ones who don’t other than to wish them luck.
