C7 Update

It is awesome to see our group doing what they doing are right now. Making "Select" additions to our core hopefully getting our name and putting some flesh on the bones of what could become a very special conference. Today is a great day to be a member of this group.
 
best thing is it provides stability. These are all core basketball schools, they're not going anywhere.
The football conferences can do whatever they want over the next couple of years - but it won't affect this new conference.

plus, like Mase and others have said... I LOVE the idea of 9 or 10 teams and playing everybody twice. You get real rivalries, know your opponents, and it leaves you with room to schedule a few marquee non-conference games every year; like the syracuse game they already announced, plus another game against somebody like Duke or UCLA. That's a solid schedule.
 
ESPN is breaking news now, we will keep name Butler and Xavier have withdrawn from their conference!
 
While competing with as few as nine members in 2013-14, the Catholic 7 schools are expected to add Creighton, Dayton and St. Louis in 2014 for a 12-team league
 
I'd say! Add the Sanchez news and the fact that I finally learned how to access this site properly on my phone, its a great day. BTW, Butler fans have already started talking trash to me in Indy. Can't wait!

This would be great to keep ND. but seems more of a long shot.

Every time Brey opens his mouth I think he wants to be part of this and wants no part of the ACC.
 
Seriously, if they can't decide on a 10th team just play 16. Spread them out a bit more than necessary for fox and schedule a few marquis OOC's in Jan and Feb that Fox can have. Hate the unbalanced schedule.

No intel. Just a gut they are still debating Zags. I heard a LONG time ago they were prepared to go with 9 unless Zags came in since they would be worth the non conf games lost.
