Andy Katz at espn.com reporting Butler has expressed interest in joining the Atlantic 10 as the replacement for Temple.
One step closer to the Vatican conference!

Except Butler is not a Catholic school!!!!

God loves them anyway, judging from their recent success. Plus no football team is just as good as being a Catholic school in this instance.
The school competes in the Horizon League in all sports except football, where it plays in the Pioneer Football League. That league, which also includes Dayton, is classified in Division 1
I thought Hofstra would be a great fit for the A-10 with Temples departure, it is a better fit geographically and they could develop a nice rivalry with Fordham.
If I were Butler why not join the Missouri Valley and play the Wichita States of the world?
I am watching Butler play temple.
this is the first time I have seen Butler play since their national championship runs. It is impressive to see how Butler coach Brad Stevens' offense creates mismatches. Hoops Weis has called Stevens one of the top 5 coaches in college basketball and I think he is right.

Because the A10 is better and already has a significant mid-west presence in Xavier, St. Louis and Dayton.
Hofstra is too small time to fit in the A10 as is Fordham, which (outside one, two years) has not been competitive at all. Overmatched and overwhelmed in every facet - facilities, fan support, performance - when compared to the schools above.

I think Fordham can build its team, I like Pecora and it is just a question of getting some good players which I think he can recruit

Fordham is bad and they are in trouble with Pecora leading them.
WILL THE C7 STILL WANT BUTLER IF BRAD STEVENS MOVES TO DUKE AFTER COACH K RETIRES?
