Briscoe & Alkins

Both generated talk of being one and done .But. each has put himself in a position where inclusion in the current draft is unlikely. I don't recall either showing a great deal of interest in education and each on a roster where they are at best the 3rd or 4th MVP.

Would they have improved their chances of inclusion in the draft if they had played at SJU ?

Funny you mention these 2 since I was just thinking of both of them while watching Bama-Kent. Big concern on this board was that they would both be selfish one and done guys. Neither has been selfish and Rawle likely not one and done, and Briscoe likely not 2 and done. Point being there should be no concerns about going after any kid who is projected to be one and done since projections coming out of high school are oftentimes way off. Especially in the case of non big men.

You go after the best players at positions you need that you have a realistic shot at. You can get more selective as your program reputation builds. The rest is nonsense

Watched Adkins Friday night he is a really good player .but so is everyone they put on the court and the same can be said about Briscoe. Which got me wondering if it was stressed to these kids that they could get lost in the excellence . Interesting Slice was deeply involved in the recruiting of both.

I feel they would have improved their chance of inclusion in the draft if they had signed with SJU

Most great players want to play with other great players hence most 5 stars go to Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, N Carolina.
