Brad Stevens Talks Big East

Stevens is a pretty smart guy and we know he can Coach.. Butler has been building a Gonzaga like reputation over the last 10 years or so and, arguably might even have exceeded the Zags..

That being said, it would be a serious error in judgment to think our talent will just roll over them in the season. They play a lot of fundamentally sound BB that often beats more talented teams.. Lavin will have to demonstrate he can match x's and o's with guys like Stevens, Mack, McDermott. As well as, Cooley, Wright, Thompson, Williams, etc

I wouldn't look for our bunch to roll over anyone.... Whether, it's Butler or any of the other teams in the conference. There will be some conference games where it'll happen, but I'm not particularly looking for that to happen. Besides, I don't recall anyone saying we were gonna roll over Butler. It's certainly not in this particular thread. So, where did that come from?

Finally, Lavin has beaten all of the latter coaches, and have beaten HOF coaches, as well. He may not be a wizard with the chalk, but he is more than capable of holding his own and getting it done. Lavin's overall record speaks for itself.

Exactly MJDinkins! No one said anything about rolling over Butler...I have no idea where that came from...I have a tremendous amount of respect for Brad Stevens and the Butler program and I'm sure most sane Johnnies fans feel the same way...I really liked Stevens comments and look forward to building a nice rivalry with Butler

Lavin has beaten all those coaches and they have to worry about him too
