Kinda dopey as the article contradicts itself. There's still a big east. The hoops could be dynamite. The conference will play its tourny in MSG. Syracuse and Pitt hoops might go downhill, and Butler and X-men might be perennial powers. Who here ain't happy?Les Carpenter's article from Yahoo Sports

Interesting take although not accurate. Certainly many other conference fans are glad it is breaking up
so they can claim top bb league.

- no league will ever be better. And even the bad programs (St Johns, Seton Hall, DePaul) were dominant in the 80s, making title games and final four.
