Big East & West Virginia Reach Settlement

 Good to hear that the Big East is trying to lure Temple. Temple would be crazy not to jump at that chance for both their bball program and improve their football conference.
 
with memphis, temple and another great basketball program, we'll be back to normal. hate to lose the syracuse rivalry...but we no longer miss boston college..so. 
 
 Temple and Memphis are more than worthy replacements. Temple only a few wins behind Syracuse All-time in bball. Syracuse, a founding member of this league is dead to me.

agreed...i have never rooted for Duke before because of a family rivalry but I will thoroughly embrace blue madness for two hours a year to watch them own the Orange.

Apparently the big 12 are loaning WVU half of the money to pay the big east buy out. I guess they really want them bad.

The big each should offer a $1M incentive from that money for any program that joins the big east, that might sway temple.

and i keep saying Xavier will be a great addition to big east basketball as well, I think they have a fordham type football team too.
 
I think the move by West Virginia is good for the Big East (nice settlement) and good for them, because they will be where they really want to be.

Teams like SMU, Houston, Boise and SMU easily replace WVU in football. Memphis is a better over bbal,l school with higher potential than ever Pitt or WVU IMO. If we add temple, our bball league will be fantastic.

SMU destroyed Pitt in a bowl this year. Houston beat Penn State. We know how good Boise State has been. I don't care much about the football side of things, but the football schools coming in are significantly better overall than the ones leaving. Syracuse basketball is a big loss...the only big loss. Until you factor in the idea that their legendary head coach will be retiring soon and replaced by an assistant. It is a game changer and more than softens the blow. The big mistake the ACC made was not taking Louisville and WVU instead of the two turds they did take. ACC...welcome two more football teams that draw 30k fans to games...enjoy!

Big East football is very bad and will continue to be very bad. Basketball is the only thing I care about, but I just think your positive attitude is great.

I think all that matters is that Boise State goes 11-1/12-0 every year and doesn't get screwed with an inferior bowl.
