Big East Website

NEW YORK - The BIG EAST has launched a new Conference website effective July 1, Chief Marketing Officer Ann Wells Crandall announced today. The adaptively designed site features a cleaner, clutter-free viewing experience easily accessible from a mobile device, desktop or tablet, with seamless social media integration. The new site also includes a striking photo and video experience intended to be easier for users to read and navigate.

Through a new multi-year agreement, SIDEARM Sports will develop, host and manage the site, while the Conference will sell online advertising with its third party rights holder, Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG). The Conference will continue to live stream its 225 2015-16 Women's Basketball and Olympic Sports competitions through the Fox Sports Go (FSGO) mobile app.

"Our goal was to create a user-friendly site to better showcase the Conference's digital and social content," said Crandall. "With today's launch, BIG EAST fans will enjoy an upgraded experience that is informative, video-focused and socially engaging. By providing our audience with multiple viewing options – BIG EAST Conference or school-focused -- the new platform will allow us to display BIG EAST content in a more interactive way and will highlight our video and digital priorities."

"We are excited to welcome the BIG EAST Conference, one of the top Division I conferences in the country, to the SIDEARM Sports family. We are proud to power the new BIGEAST.com and are confident that fans and member institutions will enjoy the enhanced, video-driven digital experience," said Dave Meluni, VP of Sales and Business Development at SIDEARM Sports.

The enhancements to BIGEAST.com include:
Enhanced video content
Bold photos and a clean, user-friendly layout
YouTube as the video player
Front page scoreboard
Deeper social media integration throughout the site
