Big East Website

I notice on the Big East web page, there are icons/logos of the 10 teams. Click on them, and you are directed to the teams basketball site. Is it just me, or does St. John's really have the ugliest and most outdated site? All 9 others, are just more pleasing to look at. They make you want to stick around for awhile.

8 days into our new league and the website still not up and running.

Very disappointing. Someone really dropped the ball. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

No one dropped the ball. The conference is only one week old with many things happening ...new commish, staffing, scheduling not completed, Butler with coaching changes, new offices, etc.
I would look in a week or two for organized administrative stuff to be authorized for inclusion in the web site and early August for completed moves.

I thought that they could have, prior to July 1st, had a site constructed and ready to go online as soon as the changeover took place. The AAC had their new site up before July 1. I understand why we had to wait until then to have ours up but I figured it would be ready. Even if it was not the finished product, it would have been good for the fans to have something. I, like a little kid at Christmas, have checked everyday, hoping something will be up.

St. John's is the only one that is not centered haha! looks like a class project that was done in 2000 and they just left it as is.

The AAC retained the old BE staff.

More than enough to get the AAC site up.

Well yeah but I'm not sure what the big deal is. Its early July.

Agreed. Unlike the AAC, the Big East doesn't have football season coming up soon, so what's the rush?

It's not the end of the world that the site is not running yet, but last I checked the Big East will have other sports besides basketball, including fall sports like soccer.

Who spent a lot of time on the old Big East site? I mean I got all my information from other sources that I visit a lot more frequently than the League site.

It's a matter of maintaining the leagues big time presence. You don't want to appear 2nd rate. I hated the old BE website. Hoping the new one is better.

As for the St. John's site, it is crappy. Too busy with a bunch of little boxes and windows. It needs a cleaner look that's easier to navigate. Also, needing Flash to view videos is stupid. Need to go to HTML-5 so Ipads (the only real tablet) can access your content.

There was an old Big East site?

To which you reply, my point exactly!
