So hard to say. I don't see us that far down if we get Lovett and Ellison back soon. I can see us ahead of a few of those teams. In addition, we have a very good, young combo up front now in Sima and Yakwe. Yakwe really surprised me last game, and if he continues to improve like he showed, we will have a surprisingly decent roster.

Whitehead playing the point for SH.That can't end well. I say with or w/o Lovett we finish ahead of them and Depaul.

That is without Lovett. With him maybe we knock Creighton down a peg. No way we break top 6 imho.

I'd pick SJU 7th or 8th, and I also think most are discounting Georgetown. Just because they played under par OOC early on. I think in conference will be a different story. We'll see.

G-Town didn't look so hot last night, I could see SJU finishing 6th with lovett ellison and williams.

So you're saying with LoVett, Ellison and Williams we are a tournament team or at least very much on the bubble? Big East is probably sending 5-6 teams this year.

This is without Lovett. With him I see us 8th.

I will say that I'm more encouraged that we'll upset some teams and get at least a few conf wins. I was originally worried that we'd go winless.

Next year we are middle of pack or better if we get Rawle. The following year hopefully the sky is the limit.

If Seton Hall finishes 8th this year there will be a riot in South Orange.

How many people are necessary to qualify an event as a riot? If you have three guys smashing mailboxes isn't that just run of the mill vandalism?

I think people would need to care about SHU first. (and sadly, not enough do)

Ha fair point Desco. You get my drift - expectations are much higher for the Hall this year. Some of their fans will probably see a silver lining though in a bad year, because it will mean Willard is out, and lots of fans I know want him gone.

Ha. One of my closest friends is a Hall alum. The hatred level for Willard is Norm-esque in their fan base. They see themselves as a bubble NCAA team with their experience. Nothing less than a bid will satisfy them.

Nah, but I guess I'm just hoping to see more games like the Syracuse. Fans can dream right? Yeah, I know dreaming big will come back to smack me in the face and bring me back to reality.
But maybe that's what a real fan is all about, hope. Atleast that's what I think being a fan is about.

Though, I'll continue to say that this year is a pass, I'll still have hope.

Dinkins, it's time to bring out that photo again.

I, once showed this pic to a childhood friend, and he said (paraphrased), "WTF is that?"
