Big East & MSG look to extend Tourney contract

 The below linked article contains some bad news for Syracuse University fans and its Athletic Director Darell Gross who has suggested that the ACC Tournament may be held at Madison Square Garden. In addition more than one SU fan has boldly predicted to me that the ACC Tournament would take over MSG.

In the below article ace sportswriter Lenn Robbins reports about expected extension of the Tourney agreement between the Big East and MSG. Good luck to the SU, pittS, and BC fans traveling to Atlanta, Greensboro and Miami for the ACC Tournaments. A question: do any BC fans even attend the ACC Basketball Tournament?

Also note that Mr. Robbins article provides insight regarding who the 14th football team to join the Big East Football Conference will be.

Good. That was just cuse's AD's bravado about the acc tourny coming to MSG. Now their tourny goes from The World's Most Famous Arena to Greensboro's most famous arena. Hope they enjoy the grits and ersatz bagels when they're down there. :p :)  
 
 "It's our intention to obviously have equal divisions of seven moving forward, and over the course of the time between now and our television negotiations, as we better position ourselves to attract a quality 14th partner in football, we'll be looking to move forward in that direction," Marinatto said. "We want to get to even divisions, and I think we're looking specifically for a western partner to help us with that."
