Big East Leads the Way

Says one in ten in the Big 10 Conference but the Big 10 has 14 teams (or did I misread this article too, Panther? ;) :) )

It’s funny but, until this posting I hadn’t even noticed the Race of Big East Coaches . To me , as a group and individually , I see Highly capable Coaches who have all achieved some degree of success at their Schools or , prior Schools . Jordan at Butler and Cooley have built or continued solid Programs . Ewing is well on rebuilding the Hoyas , despite the defections of some skilled players . I applaud him showing Akingo the door or vice versa . The skilled kid didn’t seem to take instruction or Coaching well . He took way too many WTF shots that I’m sure irked Patrick . Leitaio has struggled at DePaul but , who hasn’t ? In some respects , their doormat status resembles our own 20 year doldrums . The jury is still out on Coach Anderson but , his Resume speaks for itself . As a aside , I would offer this , let’s not continue to focus on Numbers or Quotas or Statistics and look more at the qualifications of the Coaches instead of their Race . I think the 5 BE schools who have BlackCoaches did exactly that in selecting them . And , isn’t that the way it should be ?
