Julian Champagnie is just the fifth St. John's sophomore to be an all-league first team selection. The others: Shamorie Ponds, Erick Barkley, Ron Artest and Chris Mullin. #sjubb

Every fan base pulls for their guy re awards and rationalizes everything. I just appreciate having JC & Posh recognized in same season. That is a rarity here and to me the big picture is how good this dynamic duo and team could be next year truly contending. If this team remains intact and new players pitch in, watch out! Such a great season, "Dance" or not the program is on cusp of that plane of consistent success we have yearned for.

I agree.  He's the best pro prospect in the league right now, but he missed too much time to be the conference player of the year.

Champagnie had the best all round season.  Team picked 9th by coaches.  He's the team's MVP.

I am NOT comparing the two, but not scoring below double digits for the season is Michael Jordan-type stuff. We're not a last place team. Give him the award.
