A little surprised Govan didn't make second team over Derrickson; having said that I only saw Georgetown play 4 or 5 times, so I am going on small sample size.

Congratulations to Shamorie. Only Sophomore on the first team.

Criminal that Delgado is not on the first team, IMO. I actually put him on my short list for Player of the Year, though I lean towards Brunson or Bluiett (either one is a fine choice) for that award. Really though, Delgado should be on the first team over Martin, or Ponds (hate to say it).

FWIW, my pick for rookie of the year is Spellman (this was not a deep rookie class this year), and my Coach of the Year choice is Chris Mack.

congrats to Ponds...

fully agree on Delgado.... he's different than all the others that made first team... Shouldn't just be scorer-centric.

lol at the notion that Delgado deserves it over Ponds.

Delgado regressed from last year, you can make a argument that Desi Rodriguez is the more important player for the Hall.

I don't agree that Delgado clearly deserves first team over Martin. Martin was the best player on a good Butler team. Averaged 21 ppg, 6 rebounds, short 45% and 37% from 3 and 86% from the line. Delgado is one of 4 very good players on Hall and really did not improve much in senior year over junior year. It wouldn't have shocked me if Delgado made first team as he was a rebounding force teams had to prepare for but I think Martin was very deserving of first team. I'd love to see Knicks take Martin in the draft.

Can’t argue with any of those. Maybe bridges for most improved but Powell had a hell of a year.

.@NovaMBB's Jalen Brunson named USA TODAY Sports college basketball player of the year.
