Big East 2017 Recruiting Summary

The conference is doing very well on recruiting front. SJU ranking is irrelevant due to limited needs in 2017. Zach Brown does get some props;

Thank you for sharing Paultzman. I understand that transfers are not included but if one were to include our two very high ranking transfers there is no doubt in my mind that we would have no lower than the second best class in the Big East. More importantly the two transfers fill important needs. 3 of our 4 guards are small and Simon is a 6 5 pg. Clark is a physically powerful forward who can also shoot well and should get good minutes in 2017 and probably start in 2018 when Bashir, AA and D Williams are gone. I have been very pleased with all 3 recruiting classes to date.

No doubt. Simon was very highly ranked and Clark, while a middling recruit, looked pretty good in limited minutes at Mi State.

On a side note Az's vaunted class of 15 doesn't look so good right now. Simon transferred, Smith's career is over and Trier and Comanche are suspended. But of course they just reload anyway.

I also think Zack is underrated because of his problems. IMO, If he can get his legal problems under his belt and can dedicate this year to academics and BB he will end up pretty highly ranked.
