Best Recruit EVER !

Is my eyesight beyond redemption or did we present His Holiness with an apostrophe-less St. John's t-shirt? If so, granted, it constitutes only a minor infraction, but venial sins do accumulate and we have an important season on the horizon.

the Pope and staff just wrote it off as another silly Americanized "inclusive language" thing.

When I hear "Ego te absolvo" from the lips of the Supreme Pontiff himself I'll feel more comfortable. I've had to wrestle my whole life with an apostrophe-less Queens College.

A long time ago I spoke to Coach Carnesecca about an audience with the pope. He told me that he always wanted an audience with Pope John XXIII (which didn't occur), and wanted to present him with a St. John's jersey with the number 1 on it. (Given that Michael Jordan made the number famous, maybe 23 would have been more appropriate). In any event, Coach C. was likely onto something, since Pope John XXIII is now St. John himself.

will his Holiness give us an indulgence if we sign Dominic Artis?

Isn't he still trying take care of numerous cover ups within the church. Or maybe he could provide valuable feedback.

Aha! So, perhaps instead of being an error the t-shirt reads ST. JOHNS in honor of the more than 70 saints bearing that name. A selfless and noble gesture on our part. Hear. Hear.

Obviously, the number 10 was chosen because it represents straightness of faith to men of the cloth like Hugh of St. Victor, the twelfth-century theologian.

Naturally, Frankie is taking God's Gift's place on the roster.

He's a small, pass first, unselfish, point guard, can go left or right depending on what's needed, but mostly left.

He is perfect on the end of game Hail Mary full court pass.

He never commits personal fouls and is a big time assist man.

He doesn’t like to dunk and never preens or showboats.

That's the scouting report on him.
