Beaches in Montauk are great, the differences are generally green water vs the crystal blue of the Caribbean or the keys,

Untrue. Coopers beach in the Hamptons makes top ten national lists. Jones beach is a very high quality beach laid out and set aside for public use by Robert Moses. Some west coast fla beaches like Vanderbilt in Naples have powdery soft sand that the east coast doesn't have. When you travel off shore in the northeast water gets blue.

Hell I live by Hilton Head Island we have great whites' and bull sharks here all the time

As someone who has gone great white shark cage diving in shark alley off South Africa I’d say it’s better to get just bitten in half instead of the 15 seconds of sheer terror beforehand. Might as well enjoy your last 15 seconds of life

I know you're joking but it's generally mistaken identity in the turbulence of the surf. In the Caribbean water is crystal clear in calm seas but they say you will never see a barracuda coming before it hits you.

66 °F today. 65.3°F down here (45 miles) an hour away. It's the first time Ive seen whales come this close. Only the kids swim.

Jones Beach and Robert Moses?? Have you ever left Long Island, surely you jest. Comparing those beaches to several Caribbean Beaches in such places Grand Cayman or even Siesta Key in Florida
Is a joke with or without Bull Sharks or Great Whites. Not too many people travel to Long Island to go to Robert Moses.
