Baylor Facing Possible Sanctions

No mention of that kid on Ohio University that said Drew called him up and tried to get him to transfer to Baylor?

Trying to poach another programs players in pretty despicable.

There are lots of schools who like Baylor like to work in the margins of what is acceptable, Baylor deserves more than a slap on the wrists.

And you can't help but wonder if it happens in one sport, the other two sports that had a Heisman winner and the Women's champion can't be altar boys.

The women's program is included in this report and specifically impermissible contact with Brittany Griner. I'm sure the football program has its own skeletons.

questions for those in the know more than myself on college recruitment and prep kids period.

Does anyone see this news/timing affecting any of Baylor's committed prospects? Ricardo or others?

There is always a possibility of repurcussions, from a recruiting standpoint, when sanctions come to light. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gathers delay his signing to Baylor.

And yet wouldn't these kids know already that there have been violations since they probably occured when they were getting recruited? If there's no reduction in scholarships or post season bans I don't think these types of scandals really have a large affect. Is the Baylor situation large enough to bring about a major penalty?

From reading the ESPN article there does not appear to be any major penalty coming.

I think whenever acts of impropriety are found regardless of sport or gender of the teams involved, should be dealt with quickly and decisively. Maybe heavy penalties will help with the cheaters,,,,,

While I would like to think so, I doubt it. The stuff on Baylor was in the open when Ricardo made his commitment.
