Battle of the Beaks

SJU, Creighton and Marquette are engaged in a battle for bragging rights as to which school can raise the most money in donations in a competition they are calling "Battle of the Beaks".....if you were thinking of donating to the school, this is a good way to help us win....it runs from now until the start of the big east tournament on march 12th.....check out the video and website....

It would have possibly helped to know that the contest was not to raise the most money but to get the greatest number of contributors. My $50 could have been trumped 100 to one by 100 guys giving a nickel. It helps to know the rules which makes "dead last" not such a certainty.
Next year pass the hat at games to pick up thousands of donors, albeit kids Sunday collection types.

Asking people to donate again. People donated already this year. What does this do? Get bragging rights over 2 other BE schools. We should have followed the line of the other 7 BE schools who declined to participate in this thing.
 
Battle of the beaks is an ill-conceived idea and SJU should have passed on it!
