Barclays Crowd

Thought last night was our best showing in terms of attendance compared to any of our past games at Barclays. Curious as to what others think. There was also a very spirited group in the lower tier, I assume it was students. Based on what was I saw in the second game I expect to see a good amount of yellow in the stands tonight. Hopefully anyone attending for St. John's will don some red.

I live in NC so I was not there, but I did watch on television and my first reaction was that it looked empty, and there was not much noise coming from the crowd.

As the game went on there was more of a crowd in my opinion. Late in the game when St. John's made their run it was noticeably louder I thought.

That behind-the-back pass by Ponds to Clark was something!

Official Attendance per boxscore 5967. Game would have had empty seats in Carnesecca.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but there was a whole section of kids there cheering on Heron. They had signs and were chanting and everything.

Yes, that section was supposedly comprised of kids from Waterbury, CT from Heron's hometown. They were awesome.

I think the way we came out in the 2nd half didn't help matters. But I agree historically it's hasn't been an electric place for us but late in the game yesterday that wasn't the case. Just too bad that it took so long for the crowd to get going.

Sorry, couldn’t resist!
Hopefully tonight, St. John’s play at high octane all game.

That says a lot about the St. John's fans more than Barclay. Did the school organize any buses to the Jamaica LIRR station for the easy cummute to Brookkyn? Also, it wasn't a home game so 3 other schools and alums from those schools should have made a better attempt to see their school play.
