Barclays Center

interesting to see how these arenas will market for the future. They are not going to rely on weakly supported
weak sister NY college teams. Still I do not know how a game like this will draw other than through curiosity.
WV leaving the Big East next year certainly is a factor in their consideration for NY recruit drawing power. Huggins is no fool and still wants access to the NY market for kids.

Mich alum travel well, and it is break for their NY students. Maybe 6k after a travelzoo promo

I think that St. John´s should play, at least, one game per season in Barclays Center.

Remember, St. John´s played his home games in Brooklyn until approximately 1960.

I tend to agree with you Gonzalo. I don't know how it would work, or if MSG would be offended, but I remember our team playing occasional games at Nassau Colosseum even in the 80s and early 90s.

Nothing significant, but scheduling an early season tournament or "classic" there, or a "home" game against a non-conference opponent would be a nice thing to do.

There are tons of these early season neutral site games that draw small crowds. They have one at the Izod center, another at the Prudential Center, and Washington played some random game at the Garden as well.

None of them draw particularly well. But there's a lot of open dates for arenas in that November time period.
