 I expected it from a rag like Newsday, but not even a mention in the other local papers about OS and Marco commits?
 
 They won't mention it until the school issues their official press release. SOP during the signing period I think.

Given the timing if the school asks the paper to wait saying they want to manage the PR process it's probably not worth the writing hurting the relationship. 90% of "scoops" come from "informed sources" which is just slang for "I heard it from the source but they told me not to tell you that". And watching how Lavin worked last year's commitments through the media I know he's an expert of managing the process for maximum affect.

I just thought it helps the recruiting process if these kids get to see their names in the prominent papers in the greatest city in the world. That's why I wrote what I wrote.
 
 I understand but you called out the media and I'm just saying that maybe they have their reasons.
