When Nate Lubick stumbled backwards on the baseline when they played us, he deliberately reached around and wrapped his arm around Jamal Branch which not only broke his fall, but appeared it was a deliberate attempt to let Branch take the brunt of Lubick's 235 lb body crashing into him with no escape. I wish that I just read that Lubick was the one injured. A little vindictive, but that's how I feel.

I don't think anything was on purpose with the Branch injury. It was just a wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing. Freak injuries happen all the time just look at Mariano Rivera taking fly balls in the outfield a few yrs ago.

Big loss for not only G'town, but the conference as well. G'town was one of th teams that many felt could stand up and play with the true big boys of the country. Whittington was going to go a long way in replacing the lost production of Porter.
 
About a month ago Obekpa tweeted something about wishing Phil Greene a speedy recovery.
Does anyone know what happened to Phil?

All I would say that if you can find it watch the tape. I've played a lot of sports for a long time, and I know the deal - a guy is stumbling, and he's a little pissed so he grabs onto an opponent trying to bring them down too. If you watch the way Lubick latched onto Branch, reaching his arm around his body, I think you'll see that it was intentional.
