St. John's women's basketball had four student-athletes receive postseason BIG EAST honors as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. Fifth-year senior Eugeneia McPherson was named the recipient of the 2013-14 Sportsmanship Award, sophomore guard Aliyyah Handford was a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team, junior forward Amber Thompson was named BIG EAST Honorable Mention and freshman forward Jade Walker was tabbed to the All-Freshman Team.

If they have a Most Improved Award, Thompson would be a strong candidate
If Walker continues to develop as she has this year, she will be a major force for us down the road
