I've already started paying off my 22-23 season ticket plan. I've RSVP'd regarding the August 4th open practice but I never received any communication. I'm just wondering if anyone is going and received any confirmation/tickets?
Thanks

Shows you how things have changed through the years.
As an undergraduate, I often went into Alumni Hall after class, sat upstairs and watched practice
I really appreciated the opportunity - it greatly really helped prepare me to become a coach
Enjoyed watching practice almost as much as the games and sometimes more. Rare was the occurrence that Lou cleared the gym of spectators when things were going very poorly. Didn't sit upstairs though, sat in the one row of cushioned seats.

I might go depending on work etc. If I do I'll text you and if you want to ride together from GC I'll drive

One thing to keep in mind is the intensity of the preactice and it may be the second practice of the day (the CMA way); this is why our players are in great shape during the season.

  1. Just got back from the event, it was very well organized and accommodating with dinner served at the reception before practice. It felt great to be back in CA with like minded, dedicated fans joined together to see what this talented bunch is going to be capable of. A lot of good conversation all around.
  2. The LED multi-colored lighting upgrades will make a noticeable difference during pre-game warmups, little nuances like the staircases now having new lighting gives a different pop to CA. The upgraded audio and seatbacks will continue to compliment the building. Kudos to John Diffley on this.
  3. AD Mike and Coach Mike both gave warming, appreciative and encouraging speeches to the crowd before practice ramped up. The team is fit, deep and united.
  4. I just want to focus on the 3 impressive freshmen. Storr's physique, athleticism and effortless speed- he has star written all over him. King is a hard nosed workhorse defensively who also has a pretty touch from the perimeter and around the basket. Keita is someone who can give us minutes, his ceiling is up to him, can't teach size. The 3 of them will be well taught and progress very well with the staff.
  5. The newcomers are a uptick in talent YOY. Curbelo is a sight to see, his defensive prowess and creativity with the ball in hands is elite. Jones is noticeably explosive and probably the head of the snake. Couple of quick hitters on the returnees- Soriano is fully transformed, he has worked his tail off to get to where he looks physically. Pinzon is going to wake up a lot of people that haven't scouted him thoroughly enough, it's all there for him.

This is going to be a fun season, I'm done with Summer- get me to November.

Could anyone recall what the matchups were when they went 5-5?
