Article: ESPN's Agenda

Apologies for posting this in the basketball section but I thought given the previous allegations against ESPN (being partially responsible for Syracuse & Pitt leaving) that some on here may find this interesting. I defer to the moderators

I think that the real, hidden, problem is the number of D1 college football teams, and as a result, the market has become too crowded. As of 2014, there were 128 full members of D1 FBS. So that means that you have 128 teams competing for 4 playoff spots (and let's be honest, who really cares about the'northsouthwest car-care 3rd sunday in December bowl'?)

And even if you just look at the top 25, there are still only 4 playoff sports, so 21 other teams are going to be left out.

As a result, because there are way too many college football teams out there, espn and the ncaa needed to focus on a few select teams/conferences to be their focal point in order to eliminate as much controversy as possible. And what has been the best conference over the past 10years….the SEC.

The bias has been placed towards the SEC because no matter who is at the top of the SEC, you know they are going to be a good football team, and I’m not so sure that you can say that about any other conference.

I think they should have limited it to no more than two teams from a conference if they wanted legitimacy. With the conference championship games there is no where to hide for "fabricated" teams then.
