Article - Big East Thriving Without Football

While the league is doing very well and while Xavier, Butler and Creighton are all really good programs that have been excellent additions, I am a purist and miss the league games against Syracuse, Yukon, Boston College, etc.

To that, I'll quote the last line from that classic, The Wild Bunch; "It ain't like it used to be, but it'll do."

I don’t miss BC at all. Syracuse and UConn yes... I still think UConn wants back in, if they ever drop the football garbage, with which they are going nowhere... I’d love to see them back. Can’t stand them but garden packs out and rivalries are god for sports. They have a big rivalry with providence too...

They all chose where they wanted to be. They followed the money, so I don't miss them at all.
By the way, It was a great weekend as Syracuse lost 3 times in NYC this week! 2X in hoops and today in football. LOL.

The football game was my highlight of the day.

The highlight of my day as well. It's been a good weekend a beat down of Rutgers and watching ND squeeze the Orange makes for good times. Did I mention Villanova lost again?
