Are We Definitely Playing In Either the 1st or 2nd

Game of the Nighttime Doubleheader on Tuesday of the Big East?
Is there any chance that we play during one of the afternoon games on Tuesday?

I'm not positive but in looking at it quickly I think we would drop to the 12 seed if we end up tied with either Pitt or Rutgers.
If we are tied with both Rutgers and Pitt we end up the 13 seed. Both those scenarios put us in the 2PM game.

We can't be a 10, 14 or 15 seed so our only remaining chance to play at night is to remain at the 11 seed spot which is where we currently are.
Maybe someone else has taken a closer look

That sounds about right. It seems we're slated for either the 2pm or 9pm game. Preferably, I'd like for us to play the late game. I hope we can pull it out at the RAC on Saturday. It's gonna be a daunting task on the road.

Looks to me like if:
Nova beats Rutgers
Pitt beats UConn
Nova beats Cincy and
Rutgers beats STJ then STJ could end up 14 seed when Nova, Pitt, Rutgers and STJ all have 6 conference wins (ST 0-3 in head to heads). Am I missing something?

No better then 11, no worse then 14.

We're the last game on the schedule Saturday, so by the time we tipoff, we should know what we are playing for.

So I just racked my head but the 4,5,6 seeding is important for us. If USF loses, it depends on Gtown and CIncy. Assuming Gtown loses to Marq and Cincy beats Nova, Gtown is the 4, Cincy the 5, USF the 6, so we would want to win and get into the 6, 3 bracket with USF and ND. If USF wins or the other two do not happen, Gtown is the 4, USF the 5 and Cincy the 6, which means Cincy to ND isnt terrible, but if we are 12 or 13 we have USF the 5 and Gtown the 4. Basically either of these options isn't terrible. I prefer the win tonight and get that 6, 3. ND is the 3 so even a Cincy 6 is fine with me. We cant play Lville no matter what and cant fall past 13 if Pitt ends up losing. What scares me is if we win tonight we actually might play Pitt, and not Nova or Rutgers. The 3 way tie between them is complicated but Rutgers wins it, and then Pitt. So we want to win now I think, and if we win we should avoid Pitt, play Nova in the 11/14 game. I think we would beat Nova this time around, and then hopefulyl march on. Plus maybe I am out of my mind, but I think if we win tonight and play at night, the atmosphere can be awesome for us, and if we win the first night we will start to get the NYers on our side as we go. We can only hope.

Alright, win tonight, we have Nova tues and are in USF/ND bracket. Lose we have Pitt and in the bracket with Cincy/Gtown

I'd love to end up in the former bracket. I feel would could do some damage in that particular bracket.

MJ, all day I was rooting for the scenario of Nova/USF/ND, it really is the only plausible way we can make a run. We owe Nova payback and I think we win that game. Honestly, I don't see us losing to USF at the Garden, and a game against ND on Thurs night for the right to play in the semis would be awesome and all us fans could ask for. That game would also determine if we get to .500. Although it will be very hard tn at the RAC but very fun that tonight's win propels us into a decent bracket with the Garden night crowd on our side. Also, if the Hall loses, WVA not UCONN plays at 7 on tues, I would rather not have Husky fans in the building for our game vs Nova since there will be more tickets for NYC ppl to buy and go support the Johnies. Big game tn lets get it.

I'm too lazy to check but are we locked into the night session ?
