Wow! Big East getting no respect in Rankings . Nova is number 23 and Marquette dropped out . Showing how poorly the NET system is and a poor regard for the regular Season , BE Tournament Winner and defending National Champion . Hard to believe Woffotd is higher rated and the rankings are deep with Big 10 and ACC also rans . Nova would likely beat most of the top 15 teams ranked ahead of them and only Duke NC, Mich State , Gonzaga might beat the Cats , in my opinion . Problem with BE this year was too much parity , after Nova and Marquette . We’ll see how our 4 Conference teams will do in the Dance .

Get your point but, still it’s the BE Conference . As BE Winner , Nova should be a top 10 Team . Some of the teams in the other Conferences are ridiculous . Nova would beat Texas Tech, Florida state ,Houston, LSU, Purdue,Buffalo, Va Tech, Kansas , K State,Nevada, Wisconsin,, Cunningham, Utah State, Iowa State . Winning the BE Tourney alone , especially as Regular Season champs too, gets you into top 10 easily and not number 23. The Rankings do mean something , as they reflect what has happened on the Court , right up to the selection show . Nova’s rankings appear to be totally oblivious of them Winning the BE . And , especially as defending NCAA Champions . Seems nuts to me .
who cares about the rankings now?
. For St John’s it’s not important but, if you look at it from a Conference standpoint it’s significant . And , Marquette getting a higher seed than Nova was a gross error . Other than us getting in , as last team in, I thought the seedings were terrible . The Chairman from Stanford sounded like a idiot trying to justify Marquette getting a higher seed than Villanova . He must have checked our early to get back home and deal with his Scholols involvement in the Admissions scandal .

It's been dealt with. They fired the rowing coach immediately.

The conference is fine. It was a down year for sure but a team from the Big East still won 2 of the last 3 championships. The league should get 6-7 teams in with Georgetown and X looking ready to both be top 25 programs next year.

All Big East members have very tough games to start out. St. John's will shock me if they see the Round of 32. Nova IMO has the best shot to make the sweet sixteen, Purdue is good but I think if they meet them second round it will come down to final minutes and Nova's "championship pedigree" could see it through.

I think Marquette could maybe get past Ja Morant and the Racers but if they see Florida St they will be underdogs.

The Hall is in a toss up of a first round game, and I think the committee kind of screwed them putting them against Kentucky who will be out for redemption if they meet up again.

Despite all this, one down year for the Big East will not kill us. Next year i think 5 Big East teams will have a strong chance to see the second weekend.

I follow the AP rankings as much as anyone, but I didn't even remember to check them this week. They mean absolutely nothing at this point. Last year we had 2 teams in the top 5 but this year we simply weren't very good. The league will bounce back again next year.

You are out of your mind if you think this Villanova team can beat the likes of LSU, Houston, Kansas , Nevada and or Purdue. Don’t let the Villanova name cloud your judgement

None of those teams you named are that good. Kansas is a mess right now. Who has Nevada beaten this year? Houston lost to temple this year. Nova beat temple by 10. And Purdue, well, we will find out soon

LSU(Wadeless) and Purdue would be long shots but I see no reason they can't beat Houston, Kansas or Nevada if they play well. They may not have their best team this year but you don't win two national championships in three years by accident.
