Injury reports?
Injury reports?
I think the health of both of these guys is critical to our success going fwd. I know there are a lot of Malik Ellison haters out there, but his length, versatility, and defensive abilities would be sorely missed if he were to be out for a prolonged period of time.
Williams provides much needed depth to our front line. We were very fortunate against the Hall that neither Owens nor Yakwe were in foul trouble. If past history is any indication, we cannot count on either Yakwe or Owens staying out of foul trouble going fwd.
If Ellison really did "bust" his thumb as someone indicated, that could be trouble. I've heard Williams is day-to-day, although he appeared to be walking gingerly in the boot on Saturday. Lovett was out about three weeks with his ankle issue, but of course the extent of these types of injuries can vary significantly.

About the only thing I'd like to see Ellison bust is his ass.

Ha! Maybe Ellison is really hurt, or maybe Chris didn't want to say something along the lines of "he wasn't playing smart ball and we weren't playing well when I had him in there, so I decided to sit him while we continued to play well". Can't imagine it's anything serious or we would have heard by now. Although ya never know with the way the school handles things. Complaints aside, he's a valuable part of this team and I hope he's back on the court on Wednesday.

Told there's a good chance St. John's will have Malik Ellison (thumb) and Darien Williams (ankle) active Wednesday at Butler. #sjubb

That's great news! I think Ellison was suffering from a bad case of stinkitis on Saturday. He was demonstrating all the symptoms.
