Any news on Cummings or mystery walk on??

 Yes sorry that seems pretty well established but was wondering if Cummings has been confirmed and if mystery shooter has been identified??

Provided the transfer doesn't play in any games he can transfer to a new school all the way up until the 2nd semester actually starts.

I havent seen him play. Made 4-6 threes in his last game and from what I heard one or two low-mid D1 offers. I'm not expecting anything great, but another frontcourt guy that can give us a few quality minutes and buy into the system to give us even a little bit of depth. Somebody can probably post his ESPN scouting report from a year or two ago on here. Sounds like an athletic kid and good shooter who maybe hasn't played to his potential. Honestly I have no idea what to expect. I'm not expecting a ton. I just know it is better than having only a 5 or 6 man rotation. Anything he provides will help. 

As far as the "mystery shooter" goes, I don't know much about the situation, but from what I've heard he's a much better than decent shooter.
 
 Might be a bit of delay in getting Cummings on the court. As of right now I'd be surprised if he's dressed on Wednesday.
 
Is there really a mystery recruit hanging in the wings or is that all hearsay-just curious since no name has been given and usually that would slip out  at some point-especially since theoretically he could play in our next game-if he passed NCAA muster. If there is in fact a mystery player--Any idea if he's a JUCO or a prep school 5th year HS player? Or an early HS grad?

I hear there are serious legs to this situation, Joe. It may or may not pan out. I guess we'll see in due time.

Are we talking about the mystery shooter now or some other kid? Hard keeping track of everything.
 
I'm starting to think mystery guy is someone who graduates fall semester and is eligible to transfer immediately.
 
Point guards quitting, mystery players, 3 players didnt qualify.....are we rooting for the Mets or The Johnnies....

Mkras - as for the mystery shooter I am referring to -it would be this coming semester that I am thinking of-not the 2012 class.
I sure hope he is the goods and he does commit this week.

I am in the dark on this one, but that is what I've been thinking myself. I've been looking for good players that transferred and would be eligible for the spring, but I haven't seen anything on the D-1 level. There are a bunch of JUCO kids that would be eligible.

As far as Cummings, without ever seeing him play and going only off his stats and on my familiarity of JUCO ball and the level of competition he faced, I wouldn't expect too much from Cummings. His biggest value should be in practice, giving Moe and GG another kid above 6'6 to battle with, and his five fouls. Five minutes might even be a little lofty with Garrett in town.

I always do like the prospect of taking a kid with decent size that was an okay wing and having him dedicate himself to being an undersized four, though. It almost never works in the reverse order, but you can find success at a pretty good clip like you do in football by moving an ok CB to safety or a decent safety to LB. The kid really has to be tough and willing to completely abandon any dreams of dribbling or chucking threes.
