Andy Katz/ESPN Top 25 for 2012-13 Season

Based opn this, he sees the Big East falling off the table.

Which we won't. Typical preseason nonsense. He puts ucla into the top 16 because of some good recruits Ucla certainly has some real studs coming in. Problem is, they have zero team speed outside of Shabazz. Jordan Adams and Kyle Andersn are like Molasses on the court and the existing team are no track stars. Lots of big slow guys in a slow-down offense. Zona hasn't shown me they belong there either. Creighton? C'mon.

Does anyone here really expect Georgetown and Louisville to fall out of the top 25? They both lose a couple of good seniors, but still return a significant number of main players. And Zona will jump right back even though Miller seems to have trouble keeping many of his top recruits? This ranking looks like an over-reaction to Kentucky finally breaking through with its one and done roster, so now we must assume that every team with strong incoming classes will compete for the title immediately. What a joke.

I dont think Gtown will be a top 25 team. Losing clark, thompson and simms is a lot

um he has Lville @ 2

Right you are Moose. I was reading the list so fast to see how he was dissing the Big East that I missed it. Thanks for setting me straight.

Lville will be the top of the BE next year. While Cuse lost a lot it will be hard to see them dropping that far. I can't really pinpoint anything else sure fire. I'm not sold on ND, or Cincy that much. Uconn and Nova won't be there. Marquette lost their top two guns.

Lunardi has Marquette as a five seed. I don't see how we aren't better than Marquette next season if we add two capable big men and a decent shooter--which I think we will.

How do you lose two studs in DJO and Crowder and expect to be as good? They are returning a bunch of decent player, but nothing special. Vander Blue has to be considered somewhat of a bust at this point in his career with the expectatins he came to school with. They really won't be a great shooting team next season either. Mayo will be their best shooter and he's only a decent threat....their lack of athleticism and shooting will makes for some U-G-L-Y games next season.

Louisville is a threat to win it all. Syracuse loses a lot, but they return some able talent: Christmas, CJ Fair, Carter-Williams, Keita, and Southerland. They also have a true winner, Triche, leading the squad for his final year.

Cincy should be as good or even a little better. ND will be a top 20-25 team like always.
